Australian Desert Limes have been found by the CSIRO to have important health enhancing properties with high levels of natural vitamin C, Lutein, Folate (B9), and Vitamin E (which is a natural antioxidant).
Australian Desert Limes have higher levels of Vitamin C, B9, Vitamin E, Zinc, Magnesium, Selenium and Potassium than Blueberry which was used as a comparison by RIRDC Publication No. 09/133. Research results also showed that Australian Desert Limes have a rich source of calcium (almost ten times more than Blueberries). Its Sodium Potassium ratio is also favourable for reducing hypertension.
