NATIF Davidson Plum and Date Chocolate Bark
Delicious combo of sweet and sour mixed with melting dark chocolate.
INGREDIENTS
1 Block of Dark Chocolate 75%+
3 soft Medjool Dates cut up into strips (and remove seeds)
10g NATIF Davidson Plum powder
METHOD
Add half a litre of boiling water to a pot on the stove, boil then simmer gently.
Put a heat proof bowl over the top of the pot (water not touching the bowl)
and melt the bar of chocolate, only stiring gently and occasionally until melted.
Line a large sized baking tray with eco-friendly baking paper.
Pour the melted chocolate over the paper until flat and thin.
Add the cut up dates around the chocolate. Press them down slightly into the chocolate so you can still see them.
Sprinkle a very thin layer of the NATIF Davidson Plum powder over the chocolate. It helps if you use a large strainer and shake it over.
Put the baking tray into the fridge to set the chocolate.
When cool and set, break the chocolate up into large rough pieces or use a round cookie cutter to make circles.
Store in an air-tight container in the fridge. You can add a piece of bark to other desserts like a parfaits, sorbets and ice-creams.
