Sea Parsley, Bush Tomato and Garlic Plait Loaf Bread
Bread Ingredients :
400g Strong Bread Flour
1 Sachet Instant Yeast
270ml Warm Water (37-38 degrees celsius is ideal)
1 Tbsp Caster Sugar
1/2 Tbsp Salt
Topping Ingredients:
1 1/2 Tbsp Olive Oil
3 Garlic Cloves, minced
5g Bush Tomatoes, finely chopped
1 Tbsp Sea Parsley
1/2 Tsp Salt
Method:
-In a large bowl sift together the flour, sugar and salt, then add the yeast and mix together well.
-Make a well in the flour mixture and slowly pour in the water whilst stirring, until it forms a dough.
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes, until it’s smooth.
-Place the dough in a lightly floured bowl, cover and set aside to proof for two hours.
-Once it has risen, remove from the bowl and weigh the dough, then divide into three equal portions.
-Roll each piece into a log about 30cm long.
-To plait the dough, pinch the ends of the three logs together, then fold the right log over the middle, left over the right that you just folded over and repeat, then pinch together the ends.
-In a small bowl mix together all of the topping ingredients and brush over the dough.
-Let the dough proof for another two hours.
-Once proofed, heat the oven to 180 celsius fan-forced and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
