Aniseed Myrtle is a rainforest tree growing in some areas of North Eastern NSW Australia. The leaves are crushed releasing an aniseed (or liquorice) aroma and flavour.
HOW TO USE IT:
SAVOURY: Marinades and rubs for BBQ's, seafood, Asian and vegetarian dishes, raw food dishes, salads, pasta, savoury baking, pickles, relishes curries and salad dressings or just as you would any other herb or spice when you want an aniseed twist.
SWEET: Add to Baking, Jams, syrups, cakes, tarts, sauces, ice-creams or sorbets. Makes a great tea as well.
