(Santalum acuminatum)
Available in Fruit and Powder
Quandongs (or wild peaches) are found in the semi arid zones of Southern Australia from arid desert to coastal areas. They are a bright colourful red fruit with a large ornamental inner seed. The outside husks are eaten although the seed was also traditionally used for medicinal purposes by Indigenous people and the husks were eaten as a food source of protein when meat protein was scarce. They have an earthy dry lentil aroma, are nutritious and tasty with a tart fruity finish.
Wholesale/Bulk enquiries via the Wholesale Form on this website. We will get back to you same day.
*This season the 20g Quandong fruit is ok for making Jam as they are a little darker in colour and variations in shape due to being wild harvested on a farm.
