How to prepare RAW Wattleseed at home

Raw Wattleseed MUST be cooked prior to use.

Choose one of these methods to prepare Raw Wattleseed - SOAK - ROAST OR BOIL

  1. Roast in a hot oven @ 200 degrees for about 15-20 minutes to de-nature any anti-nutrients.  Keep an eye on it so you don't let it burn.
  2. Pop it like popcorn in a hot heavy based frypan until they split (similar to popcorn) Fry for a few minutes and swirl around the pan so they don't burn.
  3. Soak overnight then throw out the water.
  4. After roasting you can mill it in a grinder or use a pestle and mortar.

Once prepared you can add it to rice and veggie dishes, desserts, breakfast oats, bread, baking, savoury dishes, soups and so much more.
