HEMP SEED AND MACADAMIA NUT MILK
This nut milk paste will make up to 5 litres of nut and seed milk
You can use this nut milk in a bowl of cereal, for making pancakes, desserts, and use the creamy paste instead of cream and yoghurt. I used it in a curry dish instead of coconut milk and it was amazing.
INGREDIENTS
2 cups of Australian Macadamia nuts
1 cup of Australian Hemp seeds
1 Banana
1/4 cup of Australian Hemp or Macadamia oil
Up to 1 cup of Water (to form the paste at the end of blending)
Option: Add 1/4 cup of soaked NATIF Wattleseed grind into the mix.
Option 2: Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla paste and some honey to make it tastier and sweeter.
METHOD
Add the seeds, nuts and hemp oil into a food blender or I used a Nutra bullet, until a thick paste is formed.
Add the banana and oil and blend those in too.
Slowly add enough water until a creamier paste forms.
Store paste in a glass jar that can be sealed tight in the fridge for up to a week.
TO MAKE UP 1 LITRE OF MILK
Use 1/4 cup of this paste to make up 1 litre of Milk.
Use this milk in smoothies, on breakfast bowls, use it as a cream on top of cakes and desserts or as a substitute for yogurt on top of cereal.
Often we see nut milks in the supermarket and they only have about 4% of nuts in them and other additives.
Making your own at home is wholesome, pure and healthy, freshly made, creamier and more enjoyable.
