Rainforest Cherry Whole Fruit
(Syzygium aqueum) From the Lilly Pilly family.
This amazing beautiful looking Native Fruit with its bell shape and bright red colour grows in the Northern parts of NSW. Also known as Bell Fruit and Water Apple.
This tree was Traditionally used by Aboriginal people for food and medicine.
Fresh, they are crisp, watery, tart and tangy. When added to liquid will tint it pink-red.
NATIF Freeze dried whole Rainforest Cherries are impressive when added to desserts or beverages.
Use the Rainforest Cherries in fruit salads, sliced on top of pavlova and tarts, use to make jams, chutneys, fruit pies, puddings, add to baking and use to garnish food and beverages.
